When a Collection becomes a Statement

Decorative plates are one of those items that show up at every estate sale. And while they are a beautiful addition to any shelf or side table, one of the most interesting ways to display them is by creating a collection on a wall—especially when the display becomes the focal point.

The plates do not have to be traditional dinner plates as seen here with a display of the popular cabbageware designs.

I love how this collection of oyster plates frames the doorway.

The classic designs of blue and white are described here as “The Great Wall of China” and tie in beautifully with the other pieces in the room.

And I love the mix here with mounted antlers and warm brown tones brought in with the lamps and table below.

So pull out your collection or start a new one and create your own unique wall decor. And if you need to fill it out, check out our online store for individual plates as well as collections.
